Terms of service
Last updated: 11 July 2026Who we are
Barbells (barbells.app) is a workout tracking service ("Barbells", "we", "us"). Barbells is a trading name of Mark Stewart Development Limited, a company registered in England and Wales (company number 17110255). Our registered office is 167-169 Great Portland Street, London, England, W1W 5PF . You can reach us at support@send.barbells.app and we aim to reply within two working days. These terms apply when you create an account or subscribe; our privacy policy explains how we handle your personal data.
The service
Barbells is a web-based training log: you build workout templates, run and record workouts set by set, and review your training history and progression. It runs in your browser, so there is no app to install.
Your free trial
New accounts get a 14-day free trial with no payment card required. When the trial ends, your data stays put and you can still sign in and view it, but you cannot log new training until you subscribe.
Subscription and payment
Barbells is a paid subscription after the trial. The price and billing period are shown at checkout before you pay. Payments are taken by Stripe, and your subscription renews automatically at the end of each billing period until you cancel.
Cancellation and refunds
- Cancel any time. Go to Settings → Subscription and manage billing, or email support@send.barbells.app. Cancelling stops future renewals; you keep access until the end of the period you have paid for.
- 14-day cooling-off. If you cancel within 14 days of your first payment, email us and we will refund that payment in full.
- After that, payments are not refundable except where the law requires. Renewals you did not intend are worth an email; we would rather refund a forgotten renewal than charge you for a service you do not use.
Nothing in these terms affects your statutory rights.
Your account
Keep the email address on your account accurate and your sign-in methods (login codes, Google account, passkeys) secure, as they are how we know it is you. You must not attempt to breach the security of the service, disrupt it for others, use it for anything unlawful, or resell it without our agreement. We may suspend or close accounts that break these terms, with notice where practical.
Your data
Your training data is yours. You can ask for a copy of it, or for your account and data to be deleted, by emailing support@send.barbells.app and see the privacy policy for details.
Training, not advice
Barbells is a logbook, not a coach. Nothing in the app, including suggested weight increases, is medical or professional training advice. Exercise carries a risk of injury; train within your ability and get professional advice where appropriate.
Service changes and availability
We provide Barbells with reasonable care and skill. We may improve or change features over time, and occasionally the service may be briefly unavailable for maintenance or reasons outside our reasonable control. If we ever decide to withdraw Barbells altogether, we will give you notice and refund any period you have paid for but will not receive.
Liability
Nothing in these terms limits our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud, or for anything else that cannot lawfully be limited. Otherwise, we are not liable for business losses, and our total liability to you is limited to the amount you have paid us in the 12 months before the claim.
Changes to these terms
If we make a material change to these terms, we will tell you in the app or by email before it takes effect. If you do not agree with a change, you can cancel your subscription before it applies.
Law and disputes
These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales, and disputes can be brought in its courts. If you live in Scotland or Northern Ireland, you can also bring a dispute in your local courts, and you always keep any mandatory consumer protections of the place you live.
